Meet Derek & Whitney! This post is perfect for such a LOVEly day!! This couple is not only beautiful but so super sweet. I asked Whitney if I could share a bit about them for this post as I just LOVE their little story! Derek and Whitney met at a Lenoir Rhyne college Halloween party in 2008 and began dating 6 months later in April of 2009. There sweet little story only begins there....as the summer came and Derek had a Dr appointment June 2010 the Dr's discovered a lump on one of his testicles and was shortly diagnosed with testicular cancer. The cancer had already spread to his lymphnodes so after surgery Derek had to take 4 months of chemotherapy. Every day 6hours of chemotherapy Whitney stayed by his side. A month after Derek being diagnosed Whitney planned a picnic trip to Prices Lake with Derek and her family in July 2010. It was there he completely surprised her and asked her hand in marriage in front of her family! Their relationship grew even more as fighting this horrible disease together! Derek is now cancer free!!Derek and Whitney love the outdoors and just about anything about it. They are big Brave fans and love to go to baseball games. Pretty much being together makes them happy and we are so excited to be a part of their day this September as they become husband and wife. We chose Edgemont NC as their engagement session location. It was a beautiful but very cold day! Hot chocolate and a blanket were a must ;).

Meet Tracie & Jordan! I'm in love with this entire shoot!! We had a blast and so much to tell. These two are all ready married and have been for 4 years. They just wanted to do have a little fun in wedding attire and incorporate a few things about them in the shoot. Tracie loves sweet things, Jordan LOVES Moonpies, and they both adore each other ;). Jordan happens to be my cousin! What makes his suit even more special is its one of our Grandfather's suits ... and the tie ... he is wearing papaw's tie too! LOVE. The beautiful copper heart in the picture below was made by Jordan for Tracie when they were dating before marriage. So sweet. The beautiful china we used is Tracie's and she wanted it to remind her of her Grandmother... she said" it looks just like something my Grandma would use". You two are beautiful inside and out. We had a blast with you. Hope you enjoy your new photograph's for a lifetime. Much much love~
Brian + Megan = Engaged
Oh goodness what a lovely couple! We had so much fun during their engagement shoot. Last August I met Brian at a wedding I shot that he was a groomsman. Thanks Sarah & Brian for saying great things about us ;)! We had a blast at your wedding. We took Brian and Megan to Morganton then Edgemont for a sweet and simple shoot. These two have known each other for a long time...they met in gradeschool. Here are a few from our day! Looking forward to September you two!

I met Ashley at a bridal show last year that I attended. This sweet couple knew each other as very young children ....isn't that cute! We had to incorporate that into their engagement session.
